Sculptor

The artist suggests the (irreversible?) distance between the picture and the thing. Between the place as it works and the sculpture makes it work. It is also a recurring theme for the artist who always shows the vacuum that the full calls. Patrice Racois is therefore an artist of disturbance that challenges the issue of representation. The starting extension of his work (facing the landscape) is enough to create the inexorable iteration of his “figure”. These pieces that impose their law and return a different look at the tender indifference of “nature”, make the imagination of the one who confronts this face-to-face work in another way. Faced with the multiplication of the lines of the decor. The sculptor imposes otherwise a distortion, at least the optical transfer in the polyphony of the fears of these pieces, which impose on the narrative prescriptions places where it fits another theatricality : it goes through of a purely abortive theme.
